Influence of environmental factors on tree species diversity and composition in the Indian western Himalaya

چکیده
Understanding patterns in forest communities and its driving factors play a critical role ecological studies. In view of this, present study attempts to understand the environmental anthropogenic towards shaping species diversity composition along altitudinal gradient (700–3800 m asl) Indian western Himalaya. A total 51 tree (28 families) were recorded; Pinaceae (5) Fagaceae rich families. ?-diversity indices i.e., Margalef's richness index (R), Shannon (H?) Simpson showed humped shaped distribution, whereas Evenness (E) an inverted distribution altitude range. Based on non-metric dimensional scaling (NMDS), four different community types identified. Redundancy analysis (RDA) revealed strong relationship with (41.73% variation) (17.35% variation). RDA further indicated that bulk density (BD), disturbance (DI), mean diurnal temperature range (Bio2) solar radiation (SR) are significantly associated sub-tropical (below 1200 m) lower temperate (1200–1700 types. Likewise, soil organic carbon (SOC), precipitation driest quarter (Bio17) pH upper (1700–2900 m), subalpine (>2900 m). Both NMDS classification ordination clearly demonstrate spatial variability properties.

The aim of the study was to investigate affecting environmental factors on functional diversity indices and species diversity for the fluctuation of the management according to the ecological conditions in Raver rangeland. To determine the functional attributes of rangeland plants, 12 height points were selected along elevation gradient those were distance between them100 meters. 5 sampling plo...
متن کاملthe effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)
cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
the influence of corpus luteum on follicular fluid composition from different size follicles and their relationship to serum concentrations in sanjabi ewes
the aim of the present study was to determine the in?uence of presence or absence of corpus luteum (cl) on hormonal and metabolites composition of follicular ?uid (ff) harvested from different sized follicles and its relationship with blood serum concentrations in sanjabi ewes. ovaries and blood samples were collected from 60 clinically healthy adult ewes (sanjabi breed) 1–3 years of age in dio...
Fire Ecology of Ground Vegetation in Pinus roxburghii Sargent Plantations in North-West Himalaya - Floristic Composition and Species Diversity
Effect of fire on phyto-sociology of understorey vegetation in chir pine forests of three different silvological characteristics was compared with pure grassland. 15 grasses, 1 sedge, 5 legumes and 21 non-legumes were recorded in the four study sites. Floristic composition gradually increased from June to August and then declined slowly by October in all the plots. Maximum number of species wa...
متن کاملcritical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language
since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...
